The claim
Circulating Facebook Post claims that you can win a Bora Bora resort vacation for you and three friends along with $3000 spending money just by liking the Facebook Page the post comes from, sharing the post, and clicking a “Sign Up” button.
What the fact-checkers found
The post and associated Facebook Page are fraudulent. No Bora Bora vacation is being given away and there will be no winners.
The fake competition is designed to trick you into promoting the scam to your friends via likes and shares, installing a rogue Facebook app that can post further scams on your behalf, and divulging your personal information via suspect “survey” websites.
