The original site is no longer online; links go to the Internet Archive copy.
The claim
Post from a Facebook Page called “Bali Holidays” claims that you can click for a chance to win a holiday to Bali.
What the fact-checkers found
The Facebook Page is not giving away any Bali holidays.
It is a scam designed to trick you into supplying your personal information on dodgy “offer” and “survey” websites. The information you supply will be shared with third-party marketers and “site sponsors”. So, if you participate, you will soon begin receiving many unwanted and annoying phone calls, emails, text messages, and letters from various companies. You might also be tricked into subscribing to absurdly overpriced SMS “services” that will charge you several dollars for every pointless text message they send you.
This video from the Hoax-Slayer YouTube Channel covers another common survey scam that promises Facebook users the chance to win a Range Rover rather than a Bali holiday:
There are a great many scams like this one on Facebook and more appear every day.
